Temperature-controlled Specifications (CRE.Converge 2019)

Local grocery delivery groups have begun occupying significant space in last-mile facilities in recent years. Large-scale cold storage and food/beverage is mainly non-traded real estate that is very costly and very customized; however, the vast majority of the real estate is very old and in need of redevelopment. Some traditional industrial developers have built speculative cold storage to keep up with demand, although different uses (fruit and flowers, grocery, pharmaceuticals, etc.) and geography require distinct building specifications. Get up to speed on the latest in temperature-controlled industrial buildings including the market drivers of this trend.
